Kada je jednom prilikom podelila rođendansku fotografiju sa svojom najstarijom ćerkom, ljudi su bili zbunjeni, jer im nije bilo jasno ko je ko na slici.
Jedna osoba je čak i napisala: "Odbijam da poverujem da ste majka i ćerka". Drugi komentar je glasio: "Imaš 43 godine? Izgledaš neverovatno".
Ova žena iz Jute često na Instagramu objavljuje svoje fotografije i snimke iz teretane, ali i fotografije sa porodicom. Tu su takođe i slike iz perioda kada je bila trudna. Džesika kaže da tri puta nedeljno vežba, kao i njen suprug, dok su njihova deca u školi.

The ship has sailed ⛵️ on a 2018 New Year’s post for me, 🤷🏻‍♀️ but I’ll spare you my year in review, as I’m sure we’ve all seen at least 200-300 years worth of people’s lives in the past few days! 😂 And so here we find ourselves on a #transformationtuesday & yes, I know I’m 9 months pregnant & in labor with @codyenslow on the left, but as I’ve said before, anyone who thinks pregnancy transformations don’t count probably has never given birth! Not only do you often gain some extra fat, but a woman’s uterus stretches to 500 times it’s normal size, and then returns to its normal size within about a month! Yes, our bodies are so resilient, especially when we take care of them. I’ve realized that if you find something you love, you’re more likely to stick with it! I now know I pretty much hate plyometrics & running, but I love #weighttraining & #cardio on the elliptical. I’m done following the trends & fads that come & go. Thanks to @shaneheugly I know that any form of cardio will work & luckily for me, weight lifting will help sculpt & shape your physique nicely. 👌🏼 Here’s to achieving our goals in 2018! Initially, I constructed a long post in response to a lot of negativity I’ve recently received for having 7 kids, but ultimately decided I didn’t need to dwell on the negativity here. 🙅🏻‍♀️ This is simply a portion of my journey in life & a platform that connects me to other amazing people and mothers who have an interest in supporting one another, not just physically but emotionally & spiritually. 😇 One question I get a lot is “How do you manage your time with so many children for working out, etc?” 😅 First of all, I have an amazing husband who is very supportive, older kids who can help here & there, plus parents and in-laws who are willing to help out when needed. I also know if there’s a will there’s a way. I started just working out at home, but once I began training with a professional trainer, it got to be too much for family, so I began paying for daycare at the gym. Now, my hubby & I have it set up where 3 days/week we go while they are all in school. I do cardio before anyone is awake on Mondays & we plan on going on Saturdays & will have an older child help out for a bit. It’s been an adjustment for us, but it’s working really well for now. I always say, “You do what you can!” Be strict about your goals & flexible on how to achieve them! There are plenty of moms out there who have made tons of progress from their own homes. My #transformation has been a lot more than just physical the past 23 years. The girl on the left was so excited to be a mother, but had no idea what lied ahead. My kids were definitely the highs in my life for many years, but the lows got pretty low. There were many days & years I thought I was in a living hell I would never escape. Low self-esteem & fear kept me in my place. Nursing school forced me out of it. I had to extend myself to others daily when I was pretty much an introvert at the time. Getting out in the workforce taught me that I could care for myself & kids if I needed to. I learned to believe in myself & found the confidence to change things, and by so doing, found a lot more happiness & peace. 😌 Life isn’t all roses now for me, but the girl on the right has learned when we take care of ourselves physically, emotionally, spiritually and make sure we are in healthy relationships, wonders can take place. I dreaded getting older throughout my life, but not anymore. I love that I know my worth & am surrounded by the most amazing people. Know YOUR worth! Love yourself! Take care of yourself! LEFT: NUTELLA EVERY DAY & RANDOM PINTEREST WORKOUTS😒😞|| MIDDLE: COUNTING MACROS & WEIGHTS + CARDIO 5-6x/week😖🤪|| RIGHT: INTUITIVE EATING & WEIGHTS + CARDIO 2-4x/week😊😌 I will forever be grateful that I chose to hire a fitness coach, who was prepping me to compete. It taught me just how much work and dedication it takes to get super lean and fit, and the gist of how to balance eating with exercise, but after 4 months I ran out of steam💨...physically & emotionally. It just wasn’t right for me at the time. I worried I’d regret taking a step back, but in all honesty, I have no regrets. My house is cleaner, my kids are happier & I feel a lot more energy & balance in my life. I don’t judge people who can hack it. But I’m not ashamed for changing my course. The way I eat and exercise now is easy to maintain. Am I as lean as I used to be? Nope. But with the help of my @warriorfuel_supps HERS #preworkout {Code: jessicafit} I take almost every day whether I workout or not, I am able to stay fairly lean and still maintain my sense of peace & sanity. There is a season & time for everything. Do what works best for YOU! I’d love to get to the gym strictly 5 days a week, and I hope to be able to maintain that schedule, but if it doesn’t happen? FIVE RULES I've learned work best for my body to stay leaner without doing tons of cardio. 1. STOP eating when I'm SATISFIED not completely full. {I've done so much better at this than I used to!} 🙌🏼 It takes awhile for our brains to realize we are full, so eating slowly and making a conscious effort to stop when I feel satisfied has helped. 2. Make sure I'm eating plenty of protein at each meal, and make sure my carb sources aren't just empty calories, like soda or junk food. My go-to carbs are oatmeal, fruit and whole grain breads. 3. I keep snacking to a minimum. I may grab a bite or two of my kids white toast, fries or cereal, or have a few chocolate chips to satisfy my cravings, but if I am doing it because I'm hungry, that is where things can start to digress. I snack on jerky or protein chips if I truly need something to tie me over until my next meal. 4. I don't overindulge on cheat meals. Maybe once a week I'll have an appetizer and dessert, but I still always choose a healthier entree for my main course, like grilled chicken salad with dressing on the side or salmon. My metabolism just can't handle a burger, fries, milkshake, and dessert once or twice a week, unless I up my cardio and workout more! So during times like this, where I'm only making it into the gym about twice a week, I use my cheats on treats 🍩🍰🍪. 5. Taking my @warriorfuel_supps HERS #preworkout {code: jessicafit} every morning has seriously been a game changer for me. I know it helps control my appetite and increases my metabolism, but I still have to make sure I stick to the previous four things I've discovered more recently in my journey to keep the fat off! 💗
